Our story

Sustainability, community, and fungi.

At Long Beach Mushrooms, we're dedicated to providing fresh, sustainable, and locally-sourced mushrooms to our community, because we believe that healthy food and connection are the foundation for a better life.

Mushrooms are not just food; they're a connection to nature and a way to bring sustainable living to our plates.

We believe in the power of local, sustainable farming. Our passion for mushrooms and our community is what led us to start our farm. Justin, a former educator, and Mia, a healthcare practitioner, run every part of it together.

Our journey

From buckets in the garage, to SoCal's tables.

Once just a small home operation, growing mushrooms out of buckets in our garage, we've now expanded to provide fresh and hyper-local mushrooms to restaurants in Southern California, as well as our customers, neighbors and friends.

Our journey began as a way to grow our own food, but it quickly became something much larger. As a healthcare practitioner and a former educator, we saw the importance of reconnecting our community with where their food comes from. And what better way to do that than through mushrooms, the magical mycelium that seems to close the loop and connect us all.

We're dedicated to growing the highest quality mushrooms and constantly seeking out new and unique varieties. And we're proud to be a part of the Long Beach community, providing healthy and delicious options for our fellow residents.
